Every Day Action Honored as a Finalist in the Third Annual Anthem Awards

Every Day Action is now asking the community for their support in the Anthem Awards.

Los Angeles, Calif. — December 12, 2023 – Every Day Action, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to eliminate food waste by redistributing unused meals from film and TV sets to communities across Los Angeles facing food insecurity, has been named a Finalist in The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards, an accolade honoring the purpose and mission-driven work of people, companies, and organizations worldwide. Today, the nonprofit is asking members of the community to support its mission by voting online at celebrate.anthemawards.com, helping them secure the final title.

Created and founded in 2020 by two veteran Assistant Directors with the Directors Guild of America, Every Day Action is fast becoming the nonprofit film industry standard for reducing food waste on sets while helping eradicate hunger right here in L.A. By donating surplus meals to shelters, missions, pantries, community fridges, and local unhoused communities, Every Day Action is feeding those in need, shrinking landfills, creating tax breaks, and reducing carbon footprints.

“We are honored to be recognized as a finalist in the Anthem Awards,” said Every Day Action Co-founder and CEO Hillary Cohen. “We’re proud to be changing the conversation around food waste not only in Hollywood but across Greater Los Angeles. Our mission is to inspire others to take care of their local community and to ask themselves daily: What can I do to help someone today? We want to thank the Anthem Awards for this recognition, and encourage members of the public to show their support for our cause by voting online now through December 21.”

“Since launching the Anthem Awards launch in 2021, we’ve seen incredible change and growth in the impact sector,” said Anthem Awards General Manager, Patricia McLoughlin. “The work that we have received in the 3rd Annual Anthem Anthem Awards is game-changing. From innovative projects fighting climate change to impactful calls for equal rights across the globe and best-in-class CSR and ESG efforts- the Anthem Community is a bright light in our uncertain world.”

Winners for the 3rd Annual Anthem Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024. Finalists can be celebrated and voted for online from December 5th to December 21st at Celebrate.Anthemawards.com
